Welcome to the online home of See Jane Jump Women's Mountain Bike Festival! 2010 is the inaugural year for the event that aims to bring women riders of all skill levels to Mountain Washington Alpine Resort for a weekend of riding, coaching, eating, drinking, and relaxing.
The goal of the event is to provide a fun, non-threatening environment that encourages beginner riders to progress their skills, and pro riders to strut their stuff on some of the most fun trails that Vancouver Island offers, including slopestyle features built specifically for the event.
All participants will have access to professional coaching, free bike set-up and maintenance tips from Norco bikes, and walk away with prizes from our amazing sponsors as well as a DVD of professionally shot images from the event.

Head Coach - Katrina Strand
See Jane Jump Fest is excited to announce that Katrina Strand will be the head coach for the event. In addition to lining up some of her top-notch coach comrades to lend a hand at the festival, Katrina has also developed a coaching curriculum for the event.
Coaching sessions are open to all levels. If you are new to the mountain bike world or looking to fine tune some skills, there will be a group suited for you.
Expect to learn and expand upon skills such as:
-Body position
-Braking techniques
-Descending techniques
-Wheel lifts
-Cornering
-Jumps
-Drops

REGISTRATION IS UP!
Online registration is up and running under the "event/registration" page of the website. Because of an overwhelming (and awesome!) interest in the event, we are having to cap registration at 50 participants. Therefore, registering online is crucial to ensure your spot. I have created a student rate for full time students - to all students out there, I feel your pain - but you will have to show your student card at check-in. All participants will sign a wavier and receive lift tickets at check-in, but for now all you have to do is register online by pressing the cute little button the Cycle Component Network has supplied us.

I am very happy to announce that legendary Canadian DH racer and freerider Lorraine Blancher has confirmed her involvement in the See Jane Jump festival! She will be coaching alongside other top Canadian DH rider and world-renowned coach Katrina Strand. Both ladies have years of coaching experience behind them and are inspiring athletes in their own right.

Sorry on the delay for getting registration fee information up on the site. Balancing budgets is not my thing, but I will have a firm number coming your way soon! HELLO FROM DARCY!
Hi everyone! I just want to let you know how excited I am to be putting this festival together. With the help of Mount Washington and my team of awesome friends and sponsors I've been able to make some headway on the organization process since my idea's inception back in September.
I want to thank Brent at Mt.Wash for being so accomodating and enthousiastic about the event; Katrina Strand for helping with sponsorship and for her knowledge of event production; Taylor Leigh for his website wizardry; Elladee and Tara for their endless encouragement; and all my personal sponsors for being so pumped for the event! Right now I am getting the line up of pro riders and coaches in order and I think it's going to be a good one! If all goes according to plan, there will be more star sightings at this event than at a botox clinic in Hollywood!
Pro photog/camera ninja Dan Barham has signed on to be the event photographer, and word on the street is that Mattias Freddrikson from Sweden will also be snapping photos throughout the weekend. Look forward to seeing everyone in August.

Mount Washington has been kind enough to hook us up with a place to shred, slopestyle features built specifically for the event, a venue for all indoor activities and entertainment for the weekend.
